sockeye salmon

Sockeye Salmon

Fishing for Sockeye, a.k.a “Red Salmon” is an absolute blast. They are the most abundant species of salmon in the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers.

We target these amazing fish Late June – Early August and often the action can be hot and heavy. Sockeye are incredible table fare and the limits are often very liberal depending on time of year and run size. If you are looking to take home a load of fish, then Sockeye fishing is for you.

king salmon

King Salmon

King Salmon are known for their brute size and hard fighting. Late May- June we fish the Kasilof river out of drift boats for these amazing fish. This is the best time of year to catch a King Salmon for the BBQ or freezer and they are incredible table fare.

July is when we target trophy King Salmon on both the Kenai and Kasilof rivers. The world record King Salmon weighing 96 lbs was caught on the Kenai River. ALL wild King Salmon will be released regardless of their size to preserve runs for future generations.

silver salmon

Silver Salmon / Pink Salmon

Silver Salmon are known for their acrobatic jumps and eagerness to bite. August – September we target these incredible aggressive fish. Pink Salmon return in epic numbers on even years and are a blast to catch. Pinks provide endless entertainment and often will wear you out with non-stop bent rods.

Silver salmon are a great fish to fill the freezer with and the limit is 2-3 depending on the time of year. Silvers and Pinks are a blast for all ages, especially younger anglers.

rainbow trout

Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden & Steelhead Trout

The Kenai River is well known for its world class Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden fishing. These are not your average Rainbow Trout, depending on time of year fish in the 20-30+ inch range can be caught frequently.

Kenai Rainbows spend the entire summer eating flesh and eggs from spawning Salmon and by the early fall they are robust and provide incredible fishing.

If you are looking to catch a personal best Rainbow Trout and bend rods constantly you will want to experience this unique fishery.

halibut

Halibut, Rockfish & Lingcod

We offer several different opportunities for ocean fishing for a variety of species. Halibut, Ling Cod and Rock fish trips are available depending on the time of year. Several of our fishing destinations, (Deep Creek, Ninilchik and Homer) are less than an hour drive from Soldotna.

What Our Guests Have to Say

The biggest thing I look for in a guide is someone who knows their water inside and out, second is someone who is actually fun to spend all day in the boat with. Greg came highly recommended from a friend and did not disappoint! I fished with him for two days and had a blast. We caught some great fish and shared to many laughs to count. It was one of the best trips I have ever taken.
